Tuesday Book Discussion

girlredcoatTuesday, May 10th at 1:00pm. Join us as we discuss “The Girl in the Red Coat” by Roma Ligocka. The red coat of the title was the only splash of color in the movie “Schindler’s List”. It was worn by a vulnerable little girl as she wandered along a grey street with Nazis rushing by rounding up the Jews of the Krakow ghetto. For anyone seeing that movie and wondering what happened to that child, this is her story. After seeing the movie herself, Ligocka began the painful reconstruction of the fifty years following that event.
Discussion is held in the library meeting room. Drop ins are always welcome and copies of the book can be picked up at the circulation desk.
