The Tuesday Book Club Selection for February, 2021

Tuesday, February 09 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.

Join us as we discuss The Education of an Idealist: a Memoir by Samantha Power.

This is the story of an Irish immigrant brought up in Pittsburgh and Atlanta, becoming a journalist and witnessing the genocide in Bosnia, and later becoming our ambassador to the United Nations. Tom Friedman said of her memoir in his NYT review: “The interweaving of Power’s personal story, family story, diplomatic history and moral arguments is executed seamlessly and with unblinking honesty.”

This group will be meeting via Zoom. If you are interested in joining the group, please email the library at mail@killingworthlibrary.org.

Extra copies are available at the circulation desk.
