Our volunteers are vital to the success of the Killingworth Library. By joining our team, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the enrichment of our town. Whether you have a passion for books, a dedication to community service, or just want to be part of our team, your volunteerism will make a significant difference.
Why Volunteer With Us?
- Community Impact: Help us create a welcoming, inclusive environment where learning and curiosity thrive.
- Skill Development: Gain valuable experience and skills in customer service, library operations, and community engagement.
- Meet New People: Connect with a diverse group of individuals who share your passion for books, education, and community service.
- Flexible Opportunities: We offer a variety of roles to fit your schedule, from organizing book collections to assisting in library events and programs.
We welcome individuals of all backgrounds to join us. Library experience is not required, but as volunteering at the circulation desk requires some basic technical knowledge, we do ask that prospective desk volunteers have some level of familiarity with computers. Your time and talents will go a long way to support the library’s operations and strengthen our community!
