Researching Your Family Tree? We Can Help!

The Killingworth Library now offers in-house access to The Scholar, a research platform provided by the Godfrey Memorial Library in Middletown. Godfrey is an independent, non-profit library specializing in genealogy, family history, and local history. The Scholar database places their exclusive online resources at your fingertips!

Contents include:

  • Unique local materials such as funeral home records and original church records (not found on Ancestry or FamilySearch)
  • A cemetery database currently covering over 1,000 cemeteries (most in eastern CT)
  • More than 7,000 curated web links, arranged by state and topic for easy access
  • Links to content in the American Genealogical Biographical Index, access to over 1 million names
  • State and local histories, vital records, newspapers, and more!
