“Photographing doors initially started as a way to get myself out to make photographs in 2010. Doors fascinate me with their seemingly endless variation. They say a lot about the buildings to which they are attached. Some are inviting. Others are foreboding. The photos presented here are a small part of an ongoing project. The doors are from North Carolina and New York and feature doors of churches, restaurants, bars, apartments, stores, college buildings, private residences, and crypts.”
The photographs in this display are silver gelatin prints. Visit Joseph’s website for more information: www.josephbrunjes.com.
