Now accepting readers! Meet Turbo, our Paws & Read reading partner! Turbo works with his handler Sally, to foster a love of reading in children. Pet Partners help reluctant readers develop more confidence by offering a non-judgmental audience.
Children between the ages of 6 and 8 are welcome to register ~ they must like dogs, and not be allergic to them. Reading will take place in the children’s room on Tuesday evenings, 5:00-6:00pm. A cozy nook will be set up where each child reads aloud to Turbo for 15 minutes ~ Sally is also present to provide minimal reading guidance. Each session will be four weeks in duration.
