The Killingworth Library is excited to offer an introductory coding class recommended for children from 8-12 years old. Coding helps children strengthen problem-solving skills, communication, and creativity! In this class, students will learn a variety of computer science concepts and will use Scratch, a block-based visual coding language developed by MIT for kids, to create stories, do simple animations, and even play with music and sounds. The class will run from 4:30-6:00pm on Tuesdays starting May 3 to June 7. Participants will work on laptops provided by the library. Spaces are limited, so please register in advance via the library’s website calendar: EventKeeper Calendar
