April’s display case features memorabilia from Killingworth’s own “Wild West” attraction, Cowboy Valley! In business from 1957-1959, this mock-up frontier town featured 18 buildings, featuring a bank, courthouse, the Red Eye Saloon, a trading post, general store, and more. Visitors enjoyed participatory reenactments, including robberies, holdups, stagecoach rides, and a teepee settlement.
Join us at the HK Middle School on Friday, April 7th at 7:00pm, for a full presentation on the history and memories of Cowboy Valley. And be sure to pick up a 350th anniversary booklet, available at the library and the town hall, to learn more about Killingworth’s fascinating history!
