Come help us kick off a yearlong celebration of Killingworth Library’s 50th Anniversary on Sunday, April 6 from 2pm to 5pm at our Open House. The afternoon of entertainment for kids and adults will feature Christina’s Mystical Magic balloon twisting, an antique fire truck, special announcements, photos and tunes from the day, as well as an armchair discussion of Killingworth in 1964 sponsored by the Killingworth Historical Society.
Step back in time and hear about our town, what KES was like in the old days, and how Killingworth Library got its start. An informal panel discussion, informative for all ages, will take place at 4pm. If you’re a KES student, you’ll love hearing about what your school was like before your parents were even born! If you’ve been in Killingworth for years, this is a great opportunity to reminisce and share your memories, and if you’re a newcomer, here’s your chance to meet people who have lived here for decades. You never know where the discussion will lead!
Be sure to stop by the library on April 6 and throughout the year as a variety of events engaging all ages are planned.
