Mahjong is a tile-based game that was developed in China during the Qing dynasty and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. It is commonly played by four players. Similar to the Western card game rummy, Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation and involves a degree of chance. The library will be offering a 3 session course for those interested in learning Mah Jongg: October 5th, 12th and 19th. The class size is limited to 12, and the sessions run from 10 am to noon.
