On March 14th, the Homeschool Book Club will be discussing A Boy Called Bat, by Elana K. Arnold.
Bixby Alexander Tam, a.k.a. Bat (peek at his initials) is a charming story about a boy who is smart and compassionate and really likes animals. Since life is full of surprises, you can imagine how excited Bat is when his mom, a veterinarian brings home a stray baby skunk. Bat will warm our hearts and allow us to learn to see things from one another’s point of view. He will also help us discover that it is worthwhile to speak clearly about what we need and to ask for what we want!
Copies are available behind the circulation desk.
The discussion will be held in the tween area. Homeschool students are welcome to sign up with Mrs. Fig. by emailing her at jfigurelli@killingworthlibrary.org. This book group is for readers ages 9 – 11.
