On Tuesday, Sept. 12th at 11:30 – 12:30 p.m., the Homeschool Book Club for 7 – 9 year olds will be discussing Cornbread & Poppy #1 by Matthew Cordell.
This new early reader series is about two best friends, Cornbread and Poppy, who are as different from each other as can be. Cornbread LOVES planning. Poppy does not. Cornbread ADORES preparing. Poppy does not. Cornbread IS ready for winter. Yes, you guessed it- Poppy is not! They prove that friends can work in partnerships and they learn the value of what makes themselves special as individuals. This sweet odd-couple story with humor and heart won’t disappoint! Copies will be available behind the circulation desk. Readers will be notified when they can sign out a copy.
