Foundation Gardens with Kathy Connolly

Thursday, March 16th at 7:00pm at the Killingworth firehouse. The Killingworth Library and Evergreen Garden Club present Kathy Connolly, speaking on Foundation Gardens That Say “Welcome Home”.
Kathy Connolly has been involved with horticulture, land care and landscape design for 30 years. As a landscape designer, she helps clients create functional, attractive outdoor space with a great deal of attention to plant health (and the health of the planet). She writes about landscape design and horticulture with a focus on a healthy relationship between people, plants and the landscape we share.  Her Green & Growing column appears every two weeks in The Day community newspapers, which circulate throughout southeastern CT and western Rhode Island.  She is a former editor/guide for Lawns and Lawn Alternatives at  About.com.  Her work has also been published in Lawn & Landscape, Connecticut Woodlands, The Habitat and many other publications. Admission is free.  Refreshments will also be served and a special raffle will be held to benefit the Evergreen Garden Club’s activities. Sign up is not necessary.
