The Killingworth Library formally opened April 16th, 1964. There was only $14 then in the treasury, so a silk hat was passed around, and $96 was collected. This was the first Killingworth Library fundraiser.
Since 1964, the library has aimed to foster education, culture, and connection in the Killingworth community. Your support is crucial in expanding our impact and ensuring that our library remains a thriving hub for all.
To celebrate our 60th anniversary, our goal is to raise $6,000 in 60 days through donations or pledges! Your donation will directly impact current programs, future events, our reimagined teen space, and our outdoor pavilion project.
