Congratulations to the 2022 HKHS Art Show Winners!

Killingworth Library is excited to announce that this year’s $500 Scholarship Winner is Emily Alger, for her string art piece “Stag.”

The following HKHS students also received monetary awards for their outstanding pieces of art:

Best in Show
“The Spectrum” pen and ink portrait by Lauren Heath.

 

 

 

First Place 
“Teapot and cup” ceramics by Megan Butler. 

 

 

Art teacher Betsy Himmelman accepted the award on Megan’s behalf.

 

 

Second Place 
“Looking” pastel by Scarlett Strom. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The library is honored to be able to host the HKHS art show, and it is our hope that these awards will encourage this talented group of young artists to continue in their creative endeavors as well to support local non-profit organizations.  We also wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the HKHS art teachers who give so generously of their time in making this event happen:
