A heartfelt Thank You to everyone who stopped by our Book and Bake Sale on Saturday, 9/15/2018!
The book sale does good beyond raising money for the library, and we would like to share the following with you:
There were 2 retired teachers that bought 2 boxes of books and puzzles that will go with them to Zambia to a Bright Stars missionary school, where 100 children (K thru grade 4) will enjoy them.
Another 6 boxes of both adult and children books will make their way to a shelter in Hartford.
We also had someone buy many of our puzzles to bring to senior centers and senior care facilities for their enjoyment.
So, besides all the other patrons who stopped by and bought 1 or many books, these stories are important reminders of how this event helps our community and beyond.
