Thursday, May 18th at 7:00pm, at the Killingworth Firehouse. Join us for a special event with the Haddam-Killingworth High School’s Creative Writing program! The students will present a dramatic reading of “The Birds of Killingworth” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and lead a brief discussion on the poem. They will then bring it up to date by reading their own poems about Killingworth, inspired by Longfellow and their own experiences living in town. Attendees will receive a published booklet complete with all poems, which will be distributed at the program. No registration is necessary.
