December 10, 1- 3 pm at the library. Join us as we discuss The Dry by Jane Harper. The locale is a small Australian town suffering a prolonged drought. A multiple murder brings fear and consternation to a place already on the edge. The hatreds and suspicions of a previous unsolved murder are also brought to the boiling point by the return for the multiple funerals of a police investigator. Local characters are well drawn and coming of age aspects of many of them raise questions about both crimes.
