The birds have been flocking to the library garden feeders now that the weather is getting colder, and thanks to the generosity and creativity of our Assistant Director, Tammy Eustis, we have been able to set up a birdwatching station on the library table near the African violets. It has 2 sets of binoculars (1 child size), bird books, a checklist with photos of birds that have been spotted at our feeders, plus recommendations on feeding and another sheet with links to informative websites. Today we spotted a goldfinch that is already sporting some bright yellow and a red tail hawk who spent quite a bit of time putting on a show for our patrons!
