June’s display case marks the return of the Nutmeg Button Club, whose offerings are always a pleasure to explore. The theme is animals: African animals, cats, bears, Animals A-Z… even unique alphabet-shaped buttons. A “button lady” in her button-covered coat keeps watch over the menagerie. The Nutmeg Button Club meets at the library on the 2nd Friday of most months. They are affiliated with the National Button Society and always welcome new members.
