Tuesday, September 12th at 1:00pm. Join us as we discuss “Mink River” by Brian Doyle. The inhabitants of a fictional coastal town in Oregon are the heart of this story which also possesses a touch of the magical in the form of a wise crow and a kindhearted bear. One reviewer described Doyle’s language as “ rich, lush, and equal to the verdant landscape he describes…” Another thought the most significant aspect of the novel was that it provided “every reason in the world to see your own village, neighborhood and life in a deeper, more nuanced and connected way.” Extra copies are available at the circulation desk.
