Town-Wide History Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, May 27th through Saturday, June 3rd. To celebrate the town’s 350th anniversary, the Historical Society has created a town-wide scavenger hunt. Pick up an information packet at the library, and start your tour! “Hidden” sites include tombstones and plaques of Killingworth notables ~ our own town witch, Goody Wee and The Bandmaster image ~ the Founders Stone ~ a one-room schoolhouse ~ a church bell ~ and the cranberry bog. Once you have visited each site, fill out the participation form and return it to a drop box (the library has one). All participants receive a prize for their sleuthing, and a grand prize will be drawn from all returned forms. Fun for all ages, a chance to get outside and explore your town and its history!
