Plein Air Watercolors

dispnedza2The March display features watercolors and decorative gourds created by local artist Virginia Nedza.
Virginia Nedza came from Middletown and has lived in Killingworth for almost 11 years. She has explored art through oils, acrylics, pastels, and now watercolor. Ginnie studied drawing and painting under Adam Wasicki and James Guy in Middletown.
Twenty-five years of photography have honed her ability to show the detail and beauty of her subjects. Over the last three years, she has enjoyed “plein air” painting in and around Middlesex County.
Her watercolors are on view on the shelves behind the circulation desk and near the local history section. The display case itself houses a variety of exquisite and whimsical pieces all made from gourds, also created by Virginia.
