LOOKING FOR A BOOK WE DON’T OWN? TRY INTERLIBRARY LOAN!
Starting June 30th, the Connecticut State Library will shut down the statewide online interlibrary loan network (reQuest), with a plan to implement a new online system in the fall. Killingworth patrons will still be able to obtain items through interlibrary loan during this downtime, however you will no longer have access to the current reQuest catalog and reQuest ILL system.
During this transition period, you may submit your interlibrary loan requests one of three ways:
•In-person at the Library’s circulation desk
•By email: email@example.com
•By phone: 860-663-2000
Be sure to provide us with the author, title and format of the item you want (book, large print, audio, video, etc.), as well as your name and contact information–the more details, the better, so we can get the correct item for you!
Processing times for interlibrary loans will take longer during this period. We beg your patience and understanding that all libraries in the state will be experiencing the same issues.
Below are the links to other nearby libraries, if you would like to search their catalogs for direct pick-up of materials (but remember to check our collection first–we may have what you want).
