Thursday, February 22nd at 7:00pm, at the Killingworth firehouse. As winter begins to turn to spring the sweetness of life returns to the noble maple. Come learn about the process that turns maple sap to syrup. Generally, the sap starts to flow between mid-February and mid-March. The exact time of year depends upon weather conditions. This timely library program will provide the basics on sugaring. Geoff Picard will present an illustrated lecture with additional information provided by Tim Gannon. Tim is Past President of the Killingworth Chamber of Commerce and member of the Parmelee Farm Committee. Geoff teaches agricultural science at Lyman High School in Lebanon.
