Creating a Pollinator Habitat – April 23

Tuesday, 4/23/2019  7 pm at the Killingworth Firehouse.  There is no charge for this program, but advance signup is required. Please call the Killingworth Library at 860-663-2000 to register.

Steve Munno, Farm Manager at Massaro Community Farm in Woodbridge, will present this program. The farm is a non-profit, certified organic farm, which operates a CSA (community supported agriculture), sells to local markets, and offers on-farm educational programs and events. They donate a portion of their harvest to hunger relief organizations. Steve has done considerable work improving soil health and creating pollinator habitat at the farm. Prior to coming to Massaro, Steve worked as an environmental educator and farmed in both Massachusetts and California. Steve was a co-founding member of the New CT Farmer Alliance, and currently serves as Board President for CT NOFA (Northeast Organic Farming Association).
